Music doesn’t always need lyrics to move and inspire a person, and this album by the band Explosions in the Sky is a choice example of mine.
A carefully selected sequence of instrumental notes alone can stir what lies deep inside each person. Just as a sunrise or sunset seems to speak, without voice, to a place where words are not heard. Lyrics will always influence the listener. Music without hindrance of prose, can help us to find what may be overlooked in what is written. Sometimes we need to listen to more than what is just spoken. You may be surprised by what you find.
