Sometimes you just need to listen to a song that makes you feel like a million bucks. And by the way, I have always wondered what that would actually look like. I can just picture the smiling stack of a million dollars, caressing the curly locks of one of its many great George Washingtons, which make up its fortune. And saying “man, you know what, I feel like…myself”.
In trying to find the highest peaks in our lives, along the journey we will have to go through the deepest and darkest valleys. With each new peak we climb to, in order to reach the greater ones off in the distance, we must choose to travel down into the valleys, and through the shadows of the summits lying before us.
So when we feel like we are in the same old valleys as in the past, we must remember that through the course of these hard times is where we gather the strength to climb to the top of the most insurmountable mountains. To reach these great peaks, time after time you must pick yourself up when you are lying in the valley, in the darkness of the unclimbable mountain’s silhouette, and whisper in your own ear “get up, get up, get up now”.
If you are listening to this song and you feel like you are on top of the world, then it is a mighty fine song to listen to. But if the tune brings some sadness because you are feeling like the world is on top of you, and it seems that it will only ever be that way. Then embrace knowing, that through perseverance you will be able to reach what you are climbing after. And one day your feet will stand where you only ever dreamt.
With this in mind, keep your head up and enjoy the inspiration within this tune. The great thing about music is that it can keep us going in the right direction, or it can help start us along our way in the direction which we long to travel.
